Religion, Mental Health and “Ask the Psychiatrists” Seminar

brain image_5

Join The Tennessee Psychiatric Association and Mental Health Association of Middle TN for an informative seminar on mental health. Studies show that clergy are the first responders when it comes to mental illness. Most people tell their minister about a mental health issue before any other professional. Despite advances in new therapies and medications, people often choose to suffer in silence because of stigma. They questions if they will be labeled as “unstable,” or they wonder if they just don’t have enough faith.

Bring your business cards to this interactive discussion with leading professionals, as we define mental illness, teach how to make a smooth referral, allow time to network and ask questions to psychiatrists, and build a referral base to help those you serve.
